GETTING STARTED / BETA

Your first show,
one step at a time.

This is an introduction to the workflow. Beta builds and testing instructions are coordinated for each console family; the public Mac download is not open yet.

Start with a rehearsal desk, a backup of the console, and a small test show. Console control can change parameters and move physical faders.

1. Choose the console family

In the app’s Settings, select the make and model. Review the console’s abilities and limitations. A beta label applies to that family, and individual controls may still be unverified.

2. Build the show before connecting

Start in Script Breakdown with performers and scenes. Plan DCA assignments and, where applicable, channel parameters and EQ banks. Spreadsheet import/export lets you work with existing planning material. Save a copy of the show before a major change.

3. Review AI-assisted work

If you use an AI assistant to help prepare the breakdown, check cast names, scene boundaries, and assignments yourself. AI access to the show and permission to control a console are separate choices.

4. Establish a test connection

Connect the computer to the desk’s control network and check the selected console and address. The app’s console-control functions require a valid licence or trial. Beta access and activation instructions will be provided with your test build.

5. Send a small, deliberate test

Use a spare channel and a short show first. Review what will be sent. Scene storage, recall, and available parameters differ between families; do not assume another desk behaves the same way.

6. Rehearse the automation

Choose whether to follow console recalls or advance scenes from the app. Check waits, fades, parameter tracking, recall-safe settings, and manual operation before considering a performance. Keep a console backup and a way to continue mixing without the app.

Help us validate your desk

Send your console model, firmware, macOS version, app version, and the steps that produced the issue. Remove any private cast or production information before sharing show files or logs.
